It's official

I'm back and ready to write. To all those people who have been asking and calling me wondering what was going on with the blog, my apologies.

Finally I can say CONGRATULATIONS TO ALWYN BABB on being CHOSEN AND SELECTED as the senior coach of our national netball team for the next two years.

I am sure that Mr.Babb will do his very best to get the team back to some prominence in the region as well as make an impression globally.

As the No.1 supporter of my friend and co-coach, it should be no surprise to anyone that he has my support in every facet 100%. It doesn't matter that I will not be in the forefront physically but that is a small issue. TO ME AT LEAST !

However already he is not getting this support from the people who 'invented' the game. These individuals who were some of the first to seek his assistance when it was needed have now completely forgotten. That's ok !

I have all the faith that the new COACH's ruthless approach ( which was needed and missing) will see us return to where we belong and ultimately surpass the expectations.

To the people who are of the opinion that my decision to cancel any legal matters with the Barbados Netball Association is because I may have the desire to be Mr.Babb's assistant, if so what?

Well done buddy !!

THE BARRIER IS IN YOUR MIND !

  1. WEll said and we in Toronto know that Babb will do a great job like he always does. I hope to see Netball in Barbados being recognized on the world stage and hope the players will strive for success and not mediocrisy as previously done.

  2. Maybe Harry, Anna, Bruce and Juanita would appreciate that St.Barnabas and Rangers has never done it and give a person with global success the opportunity to showcase his many talents.

  3. Ghandi once said"Be the CHANGE you want too see and let that CHANGE be YOU" I hope that performance and not favoritism would be a key factor in whatever Mr.Babb decides. Fairness and Integrity carries a lot of weight and this exemplifies him. Our past figure head(Coach) Harry did not have these qualities and that is why there was failure and she failed along with her co-buddy Sandra Bruce. Players are motivated when they are empowered and not spoken to like Grade 3 students. I applaud the Coaching Selectors for choosing the best candidate to get the job done. Sorry Harry and Bruce your light has gone out.
