Canada in a huddle at the 2009 6-Nations Cup in Singapore.
It's been almost three weeks and apparently no decision has been made on who is the lucky person selected to lead the resurgence of netball at the national level ( seniors).
As I write this post I can confirm that Mr. Babb is one day away from calling it quits due to the lengthy delay in making an announcement. While I do not support this decision, I will respect it.
I was eagerly looking forward to seeing Mr. Babb in his role as 'coach' which may not now happen. DARNNNNNNN !!!!
This may not be the case of no news being good news.

Today ( December 5th) is almost two weeks since the Coaching Selection Committee of the Barbados Netball Association conducted interviews with several candidates for vacant coaching posts and at this time no one is any wiser as to who has been successful.
Q : Who is to blame for this ? Is it the same Committee or is it the BNA?
Let's try to answer. The role of the Committee is self explanatory and that is to SELECT. Once the interviews were ALL conducted it was just a matter of informing the BNA that either the candidates were well suited for the positions or they weren't and all this could've been done in a matter of minutes.
That the BNA has NOT been as aggressive as they should speaks volumes to some degree. They have allowed a sub-committee to DICTATE national progress which at this time shouldn't be happening.
It would be remiss of me to separate the importance of either the U-16 or senior coach at this time for the same reason,ie - Tournaments in a few months.
Sure Julie Phillips has been working with the U-16 squad but she is NOT the coach as this article is being written. What happens if after her interview she is not the best suited? What happens if the two candidates who were interviewed for the position of Assistant Coach were not the best suited for that position ?
When will the BNA let us know ??
In the case of the senior team that is struggling to keep afloat, how can it not be seen as ABSOLUTELY important to this Committee that a coach be named ?
I am sure that Mr.Babb has nailed his interview.( As has his opponent). I am sure that once/if given the opportunity to coach he will obviously do his best.
Are we going to have to wait until the middle of the Christmas rush or the Old Years' celebration to know who the appointee is ? Does waiting so long mean that neither of the two candidates were suitable??
The board of the BNA has been tardy in DEMANDING the decisions of these interviews. It has shown no respect for the individuals who have all expressed an interest in assisting with the growth and development of our national teams.
Q: WHOSE FAULT IS IT ??
The Coaching Selection Committee or the board of the Barbados Netball Association??
