Experience will always be an important element in sports and this was obvious last Monday ( Feb 22) night at the Netball Stadium in the 2010 BNA's domestic competition.
Former Senior KO champions and an obviously AGING Spooners Hill literally manhandled a youthful and less than energetic Carlton to win their first game of the season.
It was apparent that with all the talent in the losing team some fundamental aspects of their game is missing, especially the mid-court which was as slow as molasses going up a hill. The one bright spark was the GA/GS who tried her 'hardest' to prevent her team from a humiliating defeat.
Kudos to Spooners Hill !
Commiseration to Carlton !
When experience really mattered, the losing team didn't have it to guide them.
This blog has been created with the intention of raising questions about the state of netball in Barbados. Any names mentioned will be of people who are involved in the sport and all situations will be real.

Folly
What would happen if a club coach made a request to have several of her/his members released from national training to train with their club?
What would happen if that thought was even entertained by the national coach of that particular team ?
Stay tuned on this drama that is about to unfold in local netball !!

From 5 to 20 something
For the first time in over a decade, netballers called to senior trials are showing interest in attending.
Coach Babb has created an atmosphere unlike any other and this allows for learning by some of the best in the island at the moment.
In the past players were not willing to train on their own but now that has also changed.
Hopefully this new injection of interest from the players is a result of them being COMFORTABLE knowing that FINALLY a coach has been given to them who has their best interest at heart.
Years ago national training started with five persons, this time around it's twentysomething.
