Medusa and Medusa

In Greek mythology any one who looked at Medusa was immediately turned to stone.

In netball in Barbados there are two such characters who seem to have the tentacles of doom which ancient Medusa possessed. Recently( as late of yesterday - 13-01-10) Medusa 1 and Medusa 2 gave their reasons as to why they think the national team will be a failure over the next two years.

The blood of the mythological Medusa was said to have flowed through all the venomous snakes in Africa and in some cases it was so potent it woke the dead. HMMM !!!!

Medusa head was cut off when she looked at her own image in a mirror. HMMMM!!!!

Similarly Medusa 1&2 here in Barbados have looked in their mirrors and the only thing left to do is ....................?????

LEAVE WELL ALONE !

  1. May I also add that if Sandra Bruce's vision was global as opposed to domestic she probably would've been a better candidate. Recognizing the sport needs to move forward, her vision was not in keeping with that strategy and that excluded her . Not sure how Rangers dominated in the past and needless to say, that is why Barbados Senior and recent UNder 21 Team was at a standstill because Rangers Coaches were the leaders.
Anna attempted to put us back on the world stage, however, she was also a failure. More importantly, she should keep quiet as she also tried with Antigua and that was futile. Her demeanor at the last qualifiers in Barbados was not of a coach..Need I say more...when the team was lost, they turned to her for guidance and that was not provided.
Harry also knew that Dawn Small was pregnant and
she was chosen over Cherika at the last netfest. Talk about coaching ethics??? Dawn was a lost cause for years and because of her Rangers affiliation, youth was overlooked for her..Sad Cause.. I leave this up to the netball fraternity for discussion..
